4x120mm Radiator Enclosure/Riser, Black

[Replaced By ENC-480]
Part No. ENC-1320BK This product is archived and displayed for information only. It is no longer available for purchase. Released: 21 February 2008

(Radiator is not included.) The ENC-1320 is an external enclosure for the Koolance "4 x 120mm size" heat exchanger and fan shroud. Used in this way, no physical modification to the computer chassis is needed. Alternatively, with the ENC-1320's bottom panel removed, it could also function as a "riser" to help avoid internal chassis conflicts when permanently mounted. The ENC-1320 is made of high quality, brushed and anodized aluminum, with an acrylic front bezel.

When using the ENC-1320 externally, two rear port holes are provided for fittings. The rear side also has a DB9-pin plug which will connect with 3-pin radiator fans on the inside of the ENC-1320. Fan power is then passed through an external cable and DB9 PCI slot adapter (both included) for internal PC connection. The Koolance PCI slot adapter will fit tubing up to 3/8in (10mm) ID, 1/2in (13mm) OD. Larger diameter tubing will need to be routed via a separate BKT-PCI-G with properly sized fittings.

When using the ENC-1320 as a riser, the bottom aluminum panel can be removed. In this manner, tubing and radiator fan wires can be routed directly into the computer chassis (provided there is a hole available to do so). NOTE: Because of the ENC-1320's extra length, Koolance chassis will require additional cutting if mounting permanently as a riser. Long bolts are included to mount the ENC-1320 to the original Koolance screw holes.

Liquid Coolants

Koolance's product warranty does not cover the use of 3rd-party coolants, coolant additives, or corrosion. Koolance LIQ-702 or LIQ-705 coolants are strongly recommended to help avoid issues with mixed metals or biological growth. Additionally, do not use aluminum with bare (unplated) copper or bare (unplated) brass in the same system. Do not use silver with nickel in the same system.
